Sara Corcoran,LGPC, offers compassionate and down-to-earth therapy drawing from her extensive experience as a Professional School Counselor. Sara specializes in working with children, adolescents , and young adults. She provides both telehealth and in-person sessions within Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
Her practice is built on creating a safe space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Sara utilizes an integrative approach that includes humanistic theory, narrative therapy, person-centered techniques, play therapy, psychodynamic theory, social skills training, strengths-based therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. She tailors her approach to each individual's unique strengths and needs, addressing a wide range of concerns such as ADHD, anger management, anxiety, depression, family related concerns, grief, challenges for the LGBTQ+ Community, life transitions, panic disorders, self-esteem , stress management, and trauma.
Sara's goal extends beyond symptom relief; she aims to help clients build self-awareness, develop healthy coping skills, and cultivate meaningful relationships. She believes every young person deserves a space to feel genuinely accepted, understood, and empowered to grow.
In her personal time, Sara enjoys reading, stand-up paddleboarding, snowboarding, and spending time with family and friends.
