Tessa Walls, LCPC, is a dedicated and compassionate committed to guiding her clients toward their mental well-being objectives. She believes in fostering a safe, non-judgmental, and profoundly supportive atmosphere where clients feel empowered to openly explore their thoughts and feelings. Tessa actively listens with empathy and collaborates closely with each individual to identify and effectively address their unique mental health concerns. Tessa empowers clients by reinforcing strengths and building resilience. 


Bringing 6 years of experience to her practice, Tessa works with both adults and couples. She offers both in-person sessions at the Hagerstown office and convenient telehealth appointments, ensuring accessibility for those who prefer virtual care. Her expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of mental health issues, and she provides compassionate support for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, Challenges for the LGBTQ+ Community, various life transitions, spirituality concerns, and complex family dynamics. Tessa utilizes an integrative strengths-based approach to therapy, tailoring her methods to suit each client's specific needs. This comprehensive framework incorporates elements of evidence-based modalities such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which focuses on developing skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Furthermore, Tessa is comfortable and experienced in providing integrated Christian counseling for clients who prefer to incorporate their faith into their therapeutic journey, offering a holistic approach that respects their spiritual beliefs.


In her free time, Tessa enjoys reading, spending time with animals, and cooking.
