Master’s of Social Work Intern
Damian Cogliandolo, a master’s level intern from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, offers in-person and telehealth sessions at our Laurel office. He is supervised by Denaysha Bowen, LCSW-C.
With three years of experience in the mental health field, Damian has worked directly with individuals facing mental health challenges at two different Partial Hospitalization Programs/Intensive Outpatient Programs.
As a social work intern, Damian is committed to creating a safe and professional environment where individuals feel valued and supported. He approaches each person with empathy, respect, and a focus on their unique strengths, aiming to collaborate with them to explore challenges, build coping strategies, and support personal growth. While early in his career, he brings a strong dedication to learning, listening, and providing thoughtful, client-centered care.
Damian works with children, adolescents, and adults on a range of concerns including ADHD, anger management, anxiety, depression, body image and self esteem issues, stress management, trauma, family concerns, and life transitions. He values person-centered and strength-based approaches, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.
Outside of work, Damian enjoys spending time outdoors through hiking, fishing, or exploring new places. He also loves traveling, trying new foods, and unwinding with gaming.
