Lorena Gonzalez
Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
My name is Lorena Gonzalez, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling at Bowie State University. I am passionate about promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and implementing effective strategies to support emotional well-being, particularly among youth and within educational settings.
My professional interests include exploring the impact of family dynamics and cultural influences on mental health. I am committed to applying evidence-based practices to help individuals navigate life’s challenges and reach their full potential. As I advance in my studies, I look forward to becoming a licensed mental health counselor, where I can provide compassionate care, advocacy, and support to individuals and families.
My journey is driven by a deep belief in the importance of mental health as a foundation for overall success, and I am excited to continue growing my knowledge and skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
"Taking care of your mental health is not a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of strength. It’s the foundation fora life of resilience, happiness, and purpose."
