Marcia Handcock

Marcia Hancock, LCSW-C, serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Co-Owner of Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS), bringing almost two decades of leadership experience to the mental health field. Her expertise has been pivotal in managing daily operations and guaranteeing the provision of exceptional, compassionate care.

Marcia is an advocate for collaborative approaches and the ongoing improvement of mental health services. Her dedication to fostering accessible and inclusive environments makes her an invaluable member of the ITS team.

While no longer offering direct client therapy, Marcia maintains an essential role within the organization. As a Maryland Board-approved Social Work Supervisor, she specializes in trauma certification for children and adolescents, regularly supervising staff. She is also instrumental in the Master's level social work internship program, where she coordinates student placements and ensures a high-quality learning experience.

Outside of her professional life, Marcia enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and indulging in mindless TV.
