Pauline Jamry
Master’s of Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern
Pauline Jamry is a masters level clinical mental health counseling intern from The Chicago School, providing in-person and telehealth services at our Laurel Office and in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She is supervised by Ashley Rooney, LCPC, and Jennifer Lowery, LCPC.
Pauline's journey to mental health began after a career as a lawyer, where she witnessed the profound impact of the nation's mental health crisis while working in Congressional offices in St. Louis, MO, and Washington D.C., and as a Community Health Center lobbyist. This experience ignited a passion that led her to return to school to become a therapist.
Pauline believes in the unique history and worldview of each individual, asserting that acceptance and change are possible for everyone. She offers a warm, empathetic, and validating approach, while also helping clients address challenging areas of their lives. Having advocated for diverse populations' healthcare needs, Pauline is eager to partner with you to create a life worth living.
Utilizing an integrative, person-centered, and strengths-based approach, Pauline draws upon various therapeutic modalities to meet individual needs. Her methods include humanistic theory, Motivational Interviewing, narrative therapy, play therapy, psychodynamic theory, social skills training, trauma-focused CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Pauline is adept at addressing concerns such as family issues, ADHD, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, stress, self-esteem, and trauma.
Outside of her professional life, Pauline enjoys exploring new cultures, countries, and experiences. She is also an animal lover, so feel free to share if you have a pet!
