Randi Schafer
Master's of Social Work Intern
Randi Schafer is a Masters Level Social Work intern from the University of Michigan. Randi provides a safe space for individuals to feel seen and heard. She believes effective therapy is built on collaboration, trust, and genuine connection. Rather than an expert with all the answers, Randi partners with individuals on their healing journey, listening deeply and guiding the process at their pace. Her goal is to create a warm, judgment-free environment where individuals can speak openly and honestly about their thoughts. Whether navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, or feeling overwhelmed, Randi offers a supportive space where each individual's story is valued. Therapy with Randi focuses on discovering strengths, exploring obstacles, and finding new paths forward. Individuals don't have to face these challenges alone; Randi will explore thoughts and experiences with compassion, curiosity, and care.
Randi has two years of experience in a residential setting, which has provided her with valuable insights. Currently, Randi offers in-person services to children within Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Her primary areas of focus include ADHD, anxiety, communication, depression, self-esteem , stress, and trauma. Randi utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach with her clients, incorporating techniques such as motivational interviewing, play therapy, social skills training, and Trauma-Focused CBT. Randi’s work is overseen and supervised by Rebecca Grady, LCSW-C, one of ITS Clinical Supervisors.
Outside of her professional life, Randi enjoys traveling and spending time with loved ones.
