Each May, Mental Health Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of tending to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. While mental health is essential year-round, this month shines a powerful light on issues that affect millions and the tools and support available to help us thrive. At Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS), we are proud to stand alongside our community, clients, and clinicians to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and foster healing.


Why Mental Health Awareness Matters

Mental health impacts how we think, feel, and act. It influences how we manage stress, relate to others, and make choices. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness

(NAMI), 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year, yet many do not receive the care they need due to stigma, lack of resources, or cultural barriers.
