Briana Williamson, LGPC, is a mental health professional with five years of experience in outpatient mental health, partial hospitalization programs and addictions treatment. She currently provides in-person services to students in Prince George's County Public Schools.
Briana is passionate about challenging the stigma surrounding mental health, advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves, and promoting self-awareness and empowerment. She believes mental health is as vital as physical health and that everyone deserves compassionate, culturally responsive care.
In her work with children, adolescents, and families, Briana creates safe spaces for individuals to explore emotions, build resilience, and embrace their authentic selves. Her goal is to foster understanding, empathy, and acceptance within individuals and the broader community, helping others recognize their inherent worth and potential.
Briana utilizes a strengths-based, person-centered approach, skillfully incorporating modalities such as Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
