Darrien Bell, PRP Coordinator, brings over five years of experience in the mental health field, including previous work in residential settings. Dedicated to fostering a secure environment that encourages openness and personal growth, Darrien is committed to helping individuals improve their mental and physical well-being. He firmly believes that with hard work, anyone can achieve significant improvements and develop new skills in areas such as communication, education, coping, and employability.  As a PRP Coordinator, Darrien supports individuals in developing essential daily living skills, enhancing social connections, and adhering to treatment objectives. While not directly providing therapy, Darrien helps apply therapeutic skills in practical, real-life scenarios such as time management, coping skills, and communication.


Darrien offers support that is both relatable and insightful, providing an environment where individuals feel understood and empowered. With a genuine and empathetic approach, he connects with others on a personal level, making complex ideas accessible and practical. 


Darrien utilizes a client-centered, strength-based approach in his work, firmly believing in the inherent potential and resilience of each individual. He empowers individuals to identify their personal strengths to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. He frequently uses social skills training to help individuals develop and refine the interpersonal abilities necessary for successful relationships and interactions. This may include working on communication, assertiveness, conflict resolution, and understanding social cues. Darrien also frequently uses motivational interviewing techniques, an approach that allows individuals to resolve ambivalence and build intrinsic motivation to make positive changes in their lives. By fostering an environment of empathy and support, Darrien guides clients through the process of self-discovery and growth, helping them to enact lasting positive change.  Darrien comfortably works with individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns including ADHD, anger ADHD, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, body image, borderline personality disorder, communication challenges, depression, family conflict, grief, LGBTQ+ concerns, life transitions, personality disorders, racial trauma, self-esteem challenges, spirituality and trauma


Outside of work Darrien enjoys caring for plants, writing and watching anime.
