Clinical Director and Internship Coordinator

Jennifer Lowery, LCPC, serves as the Clinical Director at Innovative Therapeutic Services, bringing almost three decades of experience in the mental health field. She oversees daily operations and ensures efficient service delivery. Jennifer also shares her extensive clinical knowledge by supervising staff and interns, and working to expand services to better serve the community. Jennifer  is a Maryland Board of Professional Counselors approved Supervisor.


Jennifer also works directly with a small caseload of child, adolescent, and adult clients, providing both in person sessions in Hagerstown and convenient telehealth appointments. Jennifer is an empathetic and dedicated therapist, known for her unique approach to client care. She is deeply committed to providing compassionate, non-judgmental, and highly personalized support, acknowledging the distinct journey of each individual. A cornerstone of her practice is a firm belief in the inherent resilience and potential within everyone.  


Jennifer champions a strength-based approach, diligently identifying and leveraging clients' existing strengths, resources, and inner wisdom. Her primary goal is to inspire, empower, and motivate individuals to realize their full potential and personal objectives. She cultivates a secure and supportive environment where clients feel understood, validated, and encouraged to pursue healing and self-discovery.   Jennifer specializes in an integrative therapeutic approach, frequently utilizing play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered, strength-based techniques. She is also trained in Trauma-Focused CBT. Her areas of expertise include ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting issues, and anger management.


Outside of her professional life, Jennifer enjoys baking and decorating cookies, interior decorating, gardening, and planning events for loved ones. She is also committed to community involvement, having dedicated many years to running a local non-profit youth sports organization.

Bachelors degree in Social Work Shepherd College (now University), Masters in School Counseling from American Public University
