Julia empowers clients to understand and express their emotions, and to navigate challenges with themselves and others in a healthy way. She emphasizes that all relationships, including the one with oneself, are built on healthy communication, and she is committed to helping clients learn effective communication to meet their needs. Whether clients seek to achieve specific goals or simply desire feedback, Julia is there to provide support.
Julia works with children, adolescents, adults, and families at our Laurel Office, in Montgomery County Public Schools, and via telehealth. She specializes in addressing a wide range of concerns including addiction issues, ADHD, anxiety, anger management, family concerns, depression, grief, LGBTQ+ , OCD, racial trauma, postpartum challenges, low self-esteem, and general trauma. She employs a person-centered approach, integrating techniques such as mindfulness, CBT, trauma-focused CBT, strengths-based therapy, and social skills training.
Outside of her professional life, Julia enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and animals.
