Raquel Washington
LMSW
Therapist
Raquel Washington, LMSW, is a compassionate and clear therapist dedicated to helping individuals transition from feeling overwhelmed and stuck to feeling empowered and emotionally grounded. With over 10 years of experience across outpatient, social services, and school settings, she currently offers telehealth services for children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.
Raquel views therapy as a vital investment in self-improvement, emphasizing growth and tangible change over mere insight. She provides an honest, warm, and collaborative partnership focused on helping clients regulate emotions, establish healthy boundaries, and confidently step into their best selves. If you are ready to put in the effort, Raquel is ready to provide support.
Her approach is trauma-informed and relational, moving beyond surface-level discussions. She works with individuals to identify patterns, strengthen coping strategies, and build practical tools for meaningful, lasting change. While validating individuals lived experiences, Raquel also gently challenges beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve their goals.
Raquel has specialized training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She integrates various treatment modalities, including motivational interviewing, play therapy, social skills training, and trauma-focused CBT. She offers treatment for a diverse range of concerns, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, grief and trauma, stress management, self-esteem and body image concerns, and family and relationship issues.
In her personal time, Raquel enjoys attending concerts and festivals, shopping, spending time with loved ones, cooking, reading, and watching a good movie or TV show.
