Taylor Seaton, LCSW-C, offers a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for individuals and families navigating life's difficulties. Her approach emphasizes self-discovery, helping clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions to understand the impact of their external environment—including people, places, and experiences—on their daily lives. She is dedicated to fostering personal growth, developing greater self-awareness, and gaining new insights, while also identifying and modifying any disruptive or unhelpful behavioral patterns. Taylor has specialized training in trauma-informed care.
Taylor has nine years of experience providing services in various settings, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Schools, and Home Health. She works with a diverse clientele, including Children, Adolescents, Adults, Couples, and Families. Taylor currently sees clients at the Laurel Office (in-person), through Telehealth, and within Baltimore County Public Schools.
Taylor helps individuals address a variety of concerns including relational and family issues, trauma and stress, identity and life challenges, and other mental health concerns such as Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, personality disorders, OCD, panic disorders, ADHD, and anger management. Taylor's therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing primarily from strength-based and person-centered philosophies. Her work is informed by and integrates principles from a range of theories and modalities, including Humanistic Theory, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychodynamic Theory, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Social Skills Training, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, Structural Family Therapy, and Family Systems Theory.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with family, exploring new places and foods, and working out.
